18th CENTURY EMBROIDERED POCKETS

A self-directed exercise in hand stitching and embroidery, these pockets are made from measurements of an existing historical garment and described in Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 1. They are completely constructed by hand and embroidered with red carnations.

Both pockets were constructed with the idea that they could be worn singly or as a pair when tied together which allows for convenience when dressing as well as a consistent fit.
