This acrylic and textile on canvas art piece is based on the mission patch for Enterprise (NX-01), the ship around which the 2001 Star Trek: Enterprise TV series is based.

First, the canvas was completely painted with black acrylic paint. The fabric pieces were cut out using a printed stencil and scrap fabric pieces from other projects and initially glued in place on the canvas. All edges were intentionally left unfinished. The word 'Enterprise' was painted on with black acrylic. All fabric pieces were then stitched onto the canvas using embroidery thread to secure them in place permanently as well as provide additional detailing.
